Schwarz
Schwarz ist eine Farbe, die es in meinem Kleiderschrank oft gibt. Meine Mutter findet das unverständlich. Es sei eine Nicht-Farbe, sagt sie. Finde ich überhaupt nicht. Ich liebe zwar auch knallige Farben, aber Schwarz ist nicht nur ein Klassiker, sondern auch das absolute Universaltalent. Darum mag ich Schwarz so gerne. In meinem Leben ist es nicht gerade stressfrei. Da finde ich die Einfachheit von Schwarz eine gute Konstante. Und zwar auch historisch! So schreibt Kate Carter im Guardian:
Black, surely, is the most flattering colour. Blue jeans might be iconic but black ones are so much more slimming – there is a reason why Chanel’s little black dresses have proved so popular since the 1920s. It’s also practical, rarely fades in modern fabrics and goes with everything – in fashion, black is not a negative but a neutral. In fact, it was the colour of choice for the chic and rich as far back as the 14th century, where rulers and courts began to wear the austere but elegant shade. It began – don’t so many trends? – in Italy, where the Duke of Milan, the Count of Savoy and other rulers began to don it. This quickly spread to France and then England, where under Richard II the whole court adopted the colour. It was, for rulers, a colour of power and dignity. I have no need of showy shades, says regal black – I have all the power I need here in my person.
Genau! Und so geht es für mich auch gerne mal ganz in Schwarz, aber dann müssen verschiedene Materialien und Strukturen her, damit man nicht doch zur Einöde mutiert. So oder so: für Schwarz braucht man schon ein Statement dazu. Egal, ob durch den Schnitt, eine Kontrastfarbe oder Accessoires: das Auge muss manchmal ein wenig Ablenkung haben.
Mit Statement
Bei mir gibt es diese heute vor allem durch diese wunderbare Kette. Gold und plastisch. Einfach wunderbar. Dazu noch etwas Betonung für die Augen mit der After Dark Palette von Urban Decay – sehr kräftige und eher ungewöhnliche Farben – und das Statement ist perfekt.
